Conditions
and Regulations
1.
A damage deposit of € 50 per student is to be paid upon arrival. Students
shall be held responsible for any damages caused within the school, the residential
facilities and during any activities organised by the school.
2.
The school offers free sharing, full board accommodation for one group leader
per group of 15 students.
3.
Package prices include weekly cleaning and change of bed linen and towels. Personal
laundry once a week is only included in the home stay package; students living
on campus can avail themselves of the coin-operated launderette located on the
premises.
4.
All activities and excursions do not include entrance fees to museums and places
of interest.
5.
Night security on the teenskool campus is offered as part of the package. The
school does not hold itself responsible for any incidents that might occur due
to negligence of students. Personal objects are the individual's responsibility
and students are advised not to bring valuables with them.
6.
The school has its own doctor and dentist who are available on call, at a charge.
Should students require their services, this can be arranged through the school
reception. It is highly recommended that students take a comprehensive travel
insurance policy prior to departure from their country to ensure complete protection
during their stay in Malta.
7.
Students suffering from any illness or disability are advised to inform the school
upon registration providing all relevant details so that the necessary arrangements
can be made.
8.
Boys and girls are accommodated separately.
9.
Concerns regarding courses, accommodation, or any other service provided by the
School or its sub-contractors are to be registered with any member of the management
team within 24 hours of the occurrence.
10.
Students are given a student identity and discount card, which they may use at
selected outlets.
11.
Students will sit for a placement test on their first day of school to determine
their level of English; this will ensure that students are placed in a class that
corresponds to their level of English. Should students feel that they have been
placed in the wrong class, they should immediately report the matter to the Director
of Studies for consideration.
12.
A certificate of participation is awarded at the end of the course. Students who
are absent for more than twenty percent of their lessons, without reasonable justification
will not be awarded this certificate.
13.
The school reserves the right to change details of its services [including course
dates and times, facilities, and accommodation] to another type of similar or
better standard at no extra charge, where circumstances beyond the company's control
necessitate such changes or where the number of enrolments is not enough to operate
a course viably.
14.
The school may, without being liable in any manner whatsoever, exclude any person
from any service applied for, if, in the opinion of the management, he/she appears
likely to endanger or impair the health, safety or comfort of other persons using
the same services, or endanger the reputation of the School by his/her acts or
omissions.
15.
The school also reserves the right to use photographs taken during courses to
illustrate its promotional material. If a student wishes that his or her photo
should not appear in this material, they should write to the school within one
month of the photo-shoot. These photos have no commercial or contractual value.
